Alice J. Madonio, age 97, of Marion, died Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Marion Manor.
Alice was born on March 16, 1915 to the late Frank and Elizabeth (Elier) Harangozo in Akron, OH.
Alice married Joseph P Madonio on July 4, 1936. He preceded her in death in 1980.
During her working years, Alice worked for Tappan Elementary School and Ravenna, High School as a head cook. Alice was active in the Ravenna Community, Ravenna Garden Club, Ravenna Senior Center and Immaculate Conception Church in Ravenna.
Alice is survived by her daughter, Josephine “Jo” A. (Peter R.) Trocchio, of Marion; grandchildren, Joseph (Pam) Trocchio of Dublin, OH, and Elizabeth (David) Montgomery of Geneva, Ill; and great-grandchildren, Anthony Trocchio, and Nathen and Katie Montgomery. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and four sisters.
A funeral service will be held 8:30AM Monday, February 18, 2013 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors. Friends may call at the time of the service with Deacon Todd Tucky officiating. Burial will follow, at 12 noon, in St. Mary Cemetery in Ravenna, OH.
