Clarence A. “Hank” Bishop age 74 of Prospect, Ohio, passed away Tuesday February 19, 2013 at the Marion General Hospital.
He was born October 15, 1938 in Marion to the late George D. and Leona B. (Hammeral) Bishop.
On January 18, 1958 he married Janet K. (Fisher) and she survives.
Clarence was retired from Whirlpool Corporation and at one time was employed for seventeen years with the Marion Star.
He was a fifty year member of the Grace Baptist Church and was on the Deacon Board. Clarence was also a U.S. Air Force Veteran.
Clarence is also survived by a daughter and three sons; Rhonda K. Bishop of Indian Lake, Ohio, Jeffery A. (Pam) Bishop of Prospect, Ohio, Mark A. (Kathy) Bishop of Richmond, Texas, and Randy E. (Jennie) Bishop of Daytona Beach, Fla. Eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Jerry and five brothers; Carlton, Paul, Charles, James and George.
Funeral Services for Clarence will be Saturday February 23, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at the Grace Baptist Church. Officiating the service will be Rev. Nicholas Worden. Burial will follow in the Prospect Cemetery with Military Rites by the Marion County United Veterans Council. Friends may call at the Grace Baptist Church, 1560 Marion Marysville Rd. from 5 to 8 P.M. on Friday February 22, 2013 and also on Saturday one hour prior to the service from 9 to 10 A.M.
