Ruth G. Mardis age 82 of Marion, Ohio passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Marion General Hospital.
She was born December 18, 1930 in Mt.Vernon, Ohio to the late Robert E. and Mable (Ute) Kent.
Ruth was married to Muriel E. Mardis, who preceded her in death on February 11, 1977.
She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and was formerly employed at Smith Clinic, McDonalds and retired from Meijer.
She is survived by her two daughters, Tina Powell of Marion, Oh., Sharon Evans of California, four grandchildren, Israel Bently of Marion, Christine Bentley of Marion, Misty Bentley of Mansfield, April Bentley of Marion, seven great grandchildren, Kurstine Greene, Kylieanne Greene, Airian Greene, Brihanna Bentley, Selena Bentley, Soleil Vera and Shania Miguel, one brother, Ivan (Betty) Kent of Utica, two sisters, Grace Clifford of Indiana, Goldie Sparks of Marion and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband and nine brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held Sunday, February 17, 2013 from 2 – 4 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home, with Pastor Bill Middleton conducting the service at 3:30 PM. Burial will take place Monday, February 18, 2013 at Everals Chapel Cemetery in Newcomerstown, Ohio.
