Veda L. Hindman age 83 of Marion passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013 peacefully surrounded by her family at Community Healthcare Center where she lived for the last six years.
Born May 16, 1929 in Marion to the late Jessie and Goldie (Thomas) Riley.
On June 20, 1948 Veda married Richard Hindman, he passed away June 15, 1998.
Veda was a1947 Graduate of Harding High School. She retired as a File Clerk for the Department of Human Services. She was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed the Red Hat Society, Bingo and reading.
Veda is survived by four children, Cindy (Foster) Brown of Bucyrus, Steve (Bev) Hindman of Marion, Kayleen (Dave) Osborn of Marion, David (Kathleen) Hindman of Lawrenceville, New Jersey, one brother James (Oneida) Riley, nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Preceding Veda are her parents Jessie and Goldie Riley, Husband Richard Hindman, and a grandaughter Carrie.
Family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2013 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors with Rev. David Liffert Officiating. Burial will follow in Marion Cemetery.
