Wilma A. Roszman, age 82, of Marion, died Sunday afternoon, February 17, 2013 at Marion Manor.
On June 12, 1930, Wilma was born in Morral, the daughter of the late Cedric D. and Helen M. (Schertzer) Sloat. She graduated from Morral High School in the Class of 1948.
Wilma married Wayne K. Roszman at the Morral United Methodist Church on March 20, 1949. Together they raised four children and shared over 63 wonderful years of marriage before he preceded her in death on June 27, 2012.
A woman of faith, she was a long time member of the Prospect Street United Methodist Church.
For many years, Wilma was employed by Kable Fulfillment in Marion as an office worker, retiring from there in February of 2002.
She enjoyed taking time for crafting and crocheting, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, camping, playing Bingo, and square dancing.
Wilma will always be remembered as a loving and caring woman who would share her heart with everyone.
Wilma will be dearly missed by her four children: Barbara (Roger) Jones of Marion, John D. Roszman of Painesville, Ken (Cindy) Roszman of Marion, Peggy (Chuck) Hosler of Marion; 10 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law: Barbara Sloat of Marion and Marie Sloat of Upper Sandusky.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Paul, Carl, and Bob Sloat; and a sister, Isabelle Gilmore.
The Roszman family will greet friends from 4 – 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 E. Center St., Marion. Funeral services will not be held.
