Betty Joan White Zucker Milner age 82 of Marion passed away Thursday March 14, 2013 at Kingston Residence in Marion.
Born March 23, 1930 in Marion to the late Fred R and Genevieve (Benge) White.
Joan first married Joseph S. Zucker who passed away March 25, 1959 and later on in life married Raymond Milner who passed away January 3, 1998.
Joan was a 1948 graduate of Harding High School, attended The Ohio State University where she met her first husband Joseph S. Zucker and graduated from Ohio Northern University in 1969. She retired after 25 years as a school teacher in the Marion City School System.
Joan was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church, The Ohio State University Alumni a great supporter of the Marion County Humane Society, Life member of Alpha Chi Omega, member of P.E.O., Twig III and 6, D.A.R., and the 48ers, Junior Service Guild since 1959, Life member of All Childrens Hospital Guild in St Petersburg, Florida. Family meant everything to Joan.
She is survived by one son Michael (Tracie) Zucker of Marion, Pam (Chuck) Daum of Twin Lakes, Ohio, Denise (Gary) Iams of Marion, and one grandson, Joesph Zucker of Marion.
Family will greet friends from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2013 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Epworth United Methodist Church 249 East Center Street, Marion at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 with Rev. David Hoffman and Rev. Dan Kiger officiating. Burial will follow in Marion Cemetery.
