Beverly J. Severns, 78, of Marion

Beverly J. SevernsBeverly J. Severns age 78 of Marion, Ohio, passed away Tuesday March 5, 2013 at Partners of Marion.

She was born May 14, 1934 in Nelsonville, Ohio to the late Howard and Edna (Rosser) Beveridge.

She was married to Kenneth L. Severns May 27, 1957 and he passed away September 27, 1999.

She was a member of the Harding High School graduating class of 1952.

Beverly was a member of The Red Hat Society, (Ramblin Roses), Understanding Friends her special “club” of 5 high school friends and her Friday night Payne’s Pizza Group.

She was previously employed at the Marion General Hospital, Fulfillment Corporation, Crawbaugh Hardware and lastly as a Medical Secretary for Dr. Pamela Kapraly in Richwood, Ohio.

Her spare time was spent volunteering and spending time with family. She was involved with the Girl Scouts of America for many years serving as the Executive Secretary for the council. She also was a volunteer for the Marion City Schools PTA clothing locker for several years and also volunteered in the nursey at Epworth United Methodist Church where she was a member.

Beverly is survived by two children; daughter Cheryl L. (Rodney) Beltz of Marion, Ohio and son Keith D. (Paula) Severns of Bucyrus, Ohio; grandchildren; Kendra Beltz and Kaydee (Andy) Davis both of Marion, Courtney Severns and Brittany Wiley of Bucyrus and Brandy (Keith) Johnson of Upper Sandusky, and four great-grandchildren, Breeona Davis, Addysen and Gavin Johnson, and Braya Potter and another due in August.

Funeral Services for Beverly will be Saturday March 9, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Pastor David Hoffman. Burial will follow in the Marion Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday March 8, 2013 from 5 to 8 P.M.
