Carol M. Edington age 66 of Marion, Ohio, passed away Friday March 8, 2013 at the Marion General Hospital.
She was born May 7, 1946 in Marion to the late George McCloskey and Geneva (Miley) McCloskey Chatfield.
Carol was a member of the Lee St. Presbyterian Church where she had been active as a Deacon, a Sunday School Teacher, Youth Club Director, and a member of the Women’s Association. She was also a member of the Marion Moose Lodge, and was a member of the Red Hat Society.
Carol is survived by a daughter and a son; Tracy J. Moore (Christopher Plaul, fiance) of Marion, Ohio, and Tony J. Edington of Marion, Ohio. Grandchildren, Justin Titus, Brittany Titus (Zachery Dean, fiance), Corey Titus, and step-granddaughter, Tealia Tinnerello survive Carol also; as well as a sister and a brother; Sheila Zeise of California, Edward (Margaret) McCloskey of Marion, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents Carol was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas McCloskey.
There will be a Memorial Service for Carol on Tuesday March 12, 2013 at 7:00 P.M. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Russell Howard. Burial will take place at a later date in the Grand Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home two hours prior to the service on Tuesday from 5 to 7 P.M.
There will be a time of fellowship and lunch on Tuesday March 12, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the Lee St. Presbyterian Church, 455 Lee St., in Marion for friends and family to share memories of Carol.
