Donald H. Golden age 78, of Marion, passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Marion General Hospital.
Donald was born on April 25, 1934 to the late Ray A. and Luvada (Hill) Golden in Akron, OH. On May 2, 1952, he married Betty J. Pedigo.
After 40 years, he retired from Ohio Edison as Superintendent of Customer Accounting Service.
Donald was a member at the Richland Road Church of Christ, was formerly a Marion Township trustee, and most recently, served as chairman of the Marion Township Zoning Board of Appeals.
Donald is survived by his wife, Betty J. Golden, children, Lex D (Denise) Golden of Uniontown, OH, Michele L. Manning of Hudson, OH, Bradford H. Golden of Akron, OH, and Danielle R. (Ray) Brown of Atlanta, Ga., his brother, Raymond (Joan) Golden of Mogadore, OH, as well as 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 11 AM at the Richland Road Church of Christ. Pastor Russell Howard will officiate. Burial will be at a later date. Friends may call on the family on Monday, March 4, 2013 from 5-8 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home and Tuesday, March 4, 2013 from 10- 11 AM at Richland Road Church of Christ.
