Frederick Theodore “Ted” SwainFrederick Theodore “Ted” Swain, age 76, of Marion, died Friday, April 12, 2013 at Kingston of Marion.

Ted was born in Marion on November 1, 1936 to the late Nihle and Lula (Hartman) Swain.

He married Linda Caldwell on November 26, 1958, she preceded him in death on May 21, 2009; together their shared over 50 years of marriage.

Ted retired from Whirlpool after 40 years of service. He was a member of The First Church of the Nazarene, where he was an usher, a member of the Masonic Lodge number 70–Blue Lodge, Scottish Right 32nd degree where he earned a 50 year pin, and a member of the Whirlpool Retirement Club.  He was an avid, hunter gardener, and enjoyed playing piano and organ.

Ted is survived by his daughter Deborah L (Jim) Huston and two grandchildren Madison and Amanda Coronado all of Huston, TX, brother, Greg (Pat) Swain of Marion and nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 4 to 8PM Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors with Masonic Rites at 7:45PM.  Funeral services will be held 11AM Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at the First Church of the Nazarene, 233 W Church St, Marion, OH, with burial to follow in the Marion Cemetery.
