Robert F. Butterman age 88 of New Bremmen, Ohio formerly of Lakeview and Marion, Ohio passed away Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Elwood Nursing Center in New Bremmen.
He was born March 1, 1925 in Marion, Ohio to the late Ora E. and Clara I. (Fleming) Butterman.
In 1962 he married Violet M. (Bland) she preceded him in death in 1987, he then married Elizabeth A. (McClaskey) in 1990, she preceded him in death in 2001.
Robert was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during WWII, was a member of the American Legion and Amvets. He was employed fro forty years at the Marion Power Shovel as a machinist.
Robert is survived by three step daughters, Katherine Borders of Delaware, Oh., Nora (Jay) Kitzmiller of New Bremen, Oh., Jeri (George) Brown of Muncie, Pa., four step sons, William (Donna) Bland of Wharton, Oh., Raymond (Julia) Bland Of McCutchinville, Oh., Andy (Brenda) Blevins of Marion, Oh., Mike (Ruth) Blevins of Mineral Bluff, Ga., eleven step grandchildren, numerous step great grandchildren and one sister, Ruth Dutton of Alliance, Oh.
He was preceded in death by a step son, Fred Bland, step daughter, Wanda McGlone, three brothers, Stanley Butterman, Richard Butterman, Merill Butterman and two sisters, June Wilson and Ellen Smith.
Graveside services will be held Monday, April 29, 2013 @ 1 PM at Bethel Cemetery in McCutchinville, Ohio. The Boyd-Born Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for the family.
