Betty Sue Lucas Riley age 67 of Marion, Ohio passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at her residence.
She was born March 19, 1946 in Knott County, Ky., to the late Earl Ray Lucas and Clerinda (Hall) Lucas Taylor.
On June 21, 1996 she married Harold William Riley.
Betty was a member of White Oaks Road Freewill Baptist Church and devoted Christian for over 40 years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Harold W. Riley of Marion, Oh., her children, Randall (Jodi) Lucas of Marion, Oh., Bruce (Ellen) Newsome of Marion, Oh., Danny J. (Margaret) Newsome of Marion, Oh., Diane (Floyd) Higgins of Caledonia, Oh., step children, Jason Riley of Mt. Victory, Oh., Jeremy Riley of Mt. Victory, Oh., Jennifer Stock of Tiffin, Oh.,7 grandchildren, Melissa Lucas, Columbus Higgins, Nichole Higgins, Noah Higgins, Emily Higgins, Robert Young Jr., Chad Young, Jenna Vogelsang, 3 step grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, Keshaun Lucas and Makayla Lucas, 4 step great grandchildren, 4 sisters, Janis (Duke) Moore of Marion, Oh., Dusty Borders of Morral, Oh., Peggy Sue (Tim) Williams of Wayland, Ky., Carolyn Sue Prater of Hughesville, Ky., 2 brothers, Kenis Lucas of Saltlick, Ky., Mike R. (Julie) Lucas of Marion, Oh., and numerous nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers Donald Ray Lucas, Bufford Lucas, Earl Ray Lucas, Lloyd Lucas, Elmer Glenn Lucas, 3 sisters, Imogene Lucas, Gladys Marie Watkins and Anna Lee Lucas.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, May 23, 2013 at White Oaks Road Freewill Baptist Church, 1859 White Oaks Rd., Marion, Ohio from 1 PM until Service time Friday, May 24, 2013 at 11AM with Pastor Danny Dickerson officiating. Burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to White Oaks Road Freewill Baptist Church.
