Dorcas Marie Fischer, age 84, of Marion passed away early Tuesday evening at Marion General Hospital.
Born to Howard and Rose (Long) Sanders on April 6, 1929, she married Ray Fischer on June 1, 1946 and he preceded her in death in 2005.
Dorcas was also preceded in death by her brother, sister and 1 great-grandchild. She is survived by her son; Gary Fischer with whom she made her home, her 3 daughters; Rosemary (Garrett) Cravens, Vicki Mathys and Theresa (Earl) Newman, 9 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
A homemaker, Dorcas was treasured as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Funeral services will be held Friday at Noon at the Hughes-Allen Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Caledonia Cemetery. Friends may call Friday morning after 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
