Dorothy L. Dodds age 94 of Marion passed away Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Kingston Residence of Marion.
Born November 2, 1918 in Marion to the late James F. and Catherine (Lares) Coffey Sr.
On October 6, 1937 Dorothy married Ivor W. Dodds, and he passed away May 13, 2011.
Dorothy retired from GC Murphy Company. She was a member of St Mary Church, Palace Theatre, Past president of Whitney Lodge 846 Auxiliary of United Transportation Union,Volunteered at St Mary’s School Cafeteria,and Marion Senior Center Cafeteria.
Surviving Dorothy are 2 sons Micheal Dodds of Branson West, Missouri, Jeremy (Glenda) Dodds of Marion, one daughter Melissa (Phillip) Porter of Baltimore, Maryland, daughter in law Janis Dodds of Marion, one sister Herma Green of Marion, seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, four step grandchildren, and seven step great grandchildren.
Preceding Dorothy in death are one son Richard A. Dodds, and one sister Rita Milisor.
Family will receive friends Sunday, June 16, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors with parish prayers to be held at 2:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday June 17, 2013 at St Mary Church with Father David Gwinner Presiding. Burial will follow in St Mary’s Cemetery.
