Dorothy Marion Crist, age 85, of Marion, died peacefully, at home, surrounded by family on Friday, May 31, 2013.
Dorothy was born in Lima, Ohio to the late Paul and Cinderella (Halter) Lyle on November 2, 1927.
Dorothy retired from the Abbotts Company after 14 years of dedicated service, was a dual member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 337 of Marion, where she served as secretary for 15 years, and 376 of Delaware, Ohio, was the former Recorder for the Ladies of the Moose, enjoyed collecting Barbie Dolls, loved to crochet and set up at the flea market.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Paul E. Lyle; sisters Luella Curtis and Bertha Wertz; grandson, Albert Ray Crist and Robert L. Crist, Sr.
Dorothy is survived by one daughter, Roberta Crist; five sons, Robert (Mary) Crist, George (Sue) Crist, Harold Crist, William Crist, and Wayne (Gloria) Crist; 12 grandchildren, Robert, Doug, Stacey, Emily, Tim, Dorothy, Nanette, Michael, Eric, Jennifer, Jeremy and Jarod; sister, Ann (Don) Rae of Bellefontaine, 29 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2013. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors. Burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery.
