Nicole R. Storch, age 31, of Mount Gilead, passed away Friday morning, May 31, 2013, at her residence following a battle with cervical cancer.
On September 3, 1981, Nicole was born in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of the late Robert James and Janet (Blankenship) Hypes. She graduated from West High School in Columbus in the Class of 1999. She recently obtained her Associates in Business Management from the University of Phoenix in 2012.
Full of energy and happiness, Nicole always appreciated the beauty in life. She was often outdoors with her camera photographing nature and her children. She enjoyed hiking through the woods and relaxing at bonfires. She loved all music, well everything but country, and going to concerts. She enjoyed sitting down with a good book, especially those by V.C. Andrews and Nicholas Sparks, or watching one of her favorite Tim Burton movies. She even had a bit of an obsession with zombies.
Nicole was a stay at home mom, or “home engineer” as she liked to put it. Only one person ruled the house, and that was her. Her family meant the world to her, and she would do everything for her fiancé, Josh, and her children. They enjoyed visiting COSI, going to different parks, and doing crafts together.
Nicole will be dearly missed by her fiancé, Josh Jarvis, of Mount Gilead; her three children: Brandon Storch, Ava Storch, and Addison Jarvis, all of Mount Gilead; her baby brother, Jason Hypes and sister-in-law and best friend, Shannon Hypes of Columbus; 2 nephews: Nathaniel and Ethan Hypes; a niece, Natalie Hypes; and very close friends, Joe and Sherri Thornton of Mount Gilead.
Nicole’s family will hold a private green burial at the Foxfield Preserve in Wilmot, Ohio, with Pastor Jim Streib officiating.
Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to Nicole’s family to help with funeral expenses and may be made in care of Snyder Funeral Home, 76 S. Main St., Mount Gilead, OH 43338.
