Robert J. Miley, 85, of Marion, died Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Fairhaven Community of Upper Sandusky.
Robert was born on January 15, 1928 in Marion to the late Orville S. and Violet M. (Sexton) Miley.
He married Dora M. Mayse on October 4, 1967; she survives.
Robert retired from Commercial Steel and Marion Bronze as a chemist and later worked in tax preparation. Robert was active in The Moose Lodge #889 and Pleasant Senior Citizens. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, yard work, and his pet dog.
Robert is survived by stepchildren, Larry (Carolyn) Mayse of Catawba Island, OH, Charlotte A. (John) Meadows of Marion, and Catherine S. (Wayne) Lute of Prospect; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces, Sharon Augenstein, Becky Rutledge, both of Marion; and nephew, David (Melisa) Litell of Marion.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Betty Litell, stepdaughter, Twila H. Bennett, and nephew-in-law Michael Rutledge.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Chapel Heights Memory Gardens with Pastor Tom Toney officiating. Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors are completing arrangements.
