Betty J. Dutton age 86 of Marion, Ohio, passed away Monday August 5, 2013 at Marion General Hospital.
She was born May 24, 1927 in Marion to the late William and Pauline (Newell) Harris Johnson.
Betty was married twice, first to Harvey Rasey and then to Louis Dutton, and both preceded her in death.
Betty was retired as a sales clerk with the former May’s Jewelers in Marion. She was a member of the Marion Christian Center and was a person who loved life and praised God every day.
Betty loved to shop and enjoyed an occasional car ride, taking in everything around her.
She leaves behind her two loving daughters who took wonderful care of their mother; Susan C. Rasey and Patricia L. Hites, both of Marion, Ohio. Also surviving is a sister, Delores (Jim) Isham of Michigan and a brother, Jim (Genny) Harris of Marion, and some cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and her husbands, Betty was preceded in death by two sisters; Barbara Roberts and Maxine Rasey, and two brothers; William and Donald Harris.
Funeral Services for Betty will be Friday August 9, 2013 at 1:30 P.M. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Pastor Perry Payne. Burial will follow in the Marion Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday August 8, 2013 from 6 to 8 P.M.
