David L. Hart, age 55, of Marion, passed away early Sunday morning, August 18, 2013 at the Marion General Hospital. He had a long and hard fought battle with cancer for the last two years, he refused to give up and he never complained.
David was born in Marion, Ohio on March 24, 1958 to Richard and Diana (Fortner) Hart.
David graduated from Harding High School. After high school, David enrolled into the United States Navy where he proudly served his county. Upon his honorable Discharge from the Navy, David went to work as a firefighter for the City of Marion and retired from the department.
He will be remembered as an avid and dedicated fan of the Cleveland Indians and also the Cleveland Browns. He was also a fan of the late painter, Bob Ross, to which he often fell asleep watching due to his soft spoken voice.
David was a determined man and faced every situation with courage and strength. He valued the gift of family and friends and will be missed by many.
He is survived by his parents Richard and Diana Hart, his brother Daniel Hart and nieces Autumn and Megan Hart.
He is preceded in death by his brother Chad Alan Hart.
Services for David will be held at a later date.
