Marcia K. Eblin, age 71, a lifelong resident of Marion, died peacefully Monday evening, August 5, 2013, at her home surrounded by her loving family following an extended illness.
On July 26, 1942, Marcia was born in Marion County, one of four children of the late Glenn and Clara Mae (Noblet) White. She graduated from Marion Harding High School.
After earning her managing and instructor degree from the State Beauty Academy, Marcia became the owner and operator of Le Salon of Styling on N. Main St. in Marion. She styled hair for her friends for over 35 years.
A loving homemaker for her husband and five children, Marcia did whatever it took to make sure they had whatever they needed.
Having a green thumb, Marcia loved tending to her flower garden at home, where she could always find more room for flowers and less room for her yard. And while she was working with their flowers, her husband Danny would tend to their vegetable garden, which she would can every year.
Strong willed, Marcia believed in living a life of integrity, valuing hard work and honesty.
She will be dearly missed by her husband of 44 years, Danny Eblin of Marion; five children: Mark (Catherine) Eblin of Marion, Michael (Victoria) Eblin of Phoenix, AZ, Jon (Donna) Eblin of Ashley, Shannon (Randy) Meddings of Marion, and Danny (Maria) Eblin II of Northwood, OH; 12 grandchildren: Josh Eblin, Mallory (Aaron) Tinkey, Marc (Jessica) Meddings, Rachel Eblin, Joel Eblin, Ceslie Eblin, Noah Eblin, Christian Eblin, Tess Eblin, Lane Eblin, Elyse Eblin, and Connor Eblin; two great-grandchildren: Caylee Meddings and Preston Tinkey; a sister, Joyuace Jones of Marion; a brother, Tom (Robin) White of Arizona; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Including her parents, Marcia was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Reseigh.
Services honoring Marcia’s life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, August 12, 2013, at the Richland Rd. Church of Christ, 525 Richland Rd., Marion, with Minister Russell Howard officiating. Following her service a meal will be provided for family and friends by the church.
