Mary Peggy Edelblute Moseley Rosskopf, age 91 of Marion, passed away Friday, August 9, 2013 at Heartland of Marion.
She was born on April 14, 1922 in Ostrander, OH to the late Lester A. and Alpha J. (Hayes) Edelblute.
On July 2, 1947 in Kentucky, she married Philip E. “Fuzzy” Rosskopf to whom she was married for 50 years. He passed away August 11, 1997.
Mary was retired. She was a school bus driver for 18 years for MARCA Industries. Also in her working days, she worked at the first L&K in Marion, the old Marion Depot, G.C. Murphy’s, and also for ten years, delivered for the Marion Star and drove bus for Head Start.
Mary is survived by her sisters, Judy (Jerry) Hayes of Ashley, OH, Pam (Mike) Yost of Radnor, OH, and Christina (Gene) Smart of Powell, OH, and also her brothers Joseph (Claire) Edelblute of Jupiter, FL, Jim (Judy) Edelblute of Starkville, MS, and Charles (Barb) Edelblute of Glen Harbor, Ill. Mary is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Christy Lynn (Mark) Clark of Marion, Mona Jean Combs of Columbus, John David Brown of McArthur, OH, Steven Dean (Sue) Brown of Marion, and Joel Wray (Janice) Brown of Utica, OH as well as 15 great-grandchildren, 21 great-great grandchildren, 2 great-great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Lastly, she is survived by her furry babies, Jack and Lucky Baby.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Marjorie Jean Brown, 3 brothers George, Girard (Dick), and John (Jack), 2 great-great granddaughters, and step-mother Donnabelle Edelblute.
Funeral services will be Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 10AM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow in Chapel Heights Memory Gardens. Calling hours will be Wednesday, August 14, 2013 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
