In loving memory of Charles D. (Charlie) Herr age 75 of Marion, Ohio who passed away Saturday October 19, 2013.
To celebrate the life of the greatest man, husband, father, friend, farmer, woodworker that this world has been privileged enough to know. He cherished living, if he wasn’t able to “Live” then he needed to sleep until we meet again in the woods, on the cruise ship, in the workshop, or anywhere memories were made. While it is sad to go on without him beside us, we know he is beside us in new ways, in the breeze, the leaves and all other things we can see and feel.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Laurie Hamm Herr, five children; Emilly Hoy, Carl Hoy, Jonavon Charles Herr, Charleta Herr Runkle, Rubiana Berridge, and his puppies, sister Vivian Williams, five grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and many many good friends and extended family.
His parents John F. and Ruby I. Herr and sister Evelyn Albert preceded him in death.
His last wish was that no one would be sad at his leaving. That we would be remembering the good times that he had with each and every one of his wonderful family and friends. Please remember the great times and now he is able to do all the things he loved. Till we meet again.
There will be no calling hours or funeral services. Boyd-Born Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Any contributions in honor of Charles can be made to Marion General Hospital Hospice. On line condolences to the family can be made at www.boydbornfuneralhome.com.
