Kendra Leigh (Osborn) Tackett, age 26 of Blythewood, South Carolina and formerly of Delaware died very unexpectedly Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at home of an apparent pulmonary embolism.
She was born on May 29, 1987 in Tucson, Arizona to Kathy Hobson of Westerville and Kerry Osborn of Delaware. Kendra graduated from Delaware Hayes High School in 2005. While at Hayes she played softball and participated in gymnastics and orchestra, in addition to being a National Honor Society member. She was accepted and studied at Stone Laboratory. In 2008 she graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Environmental Biology and worked on many local and state projects. She was passionate about the environment; during her time at OSU she was on the Dean’s List and was selected to go to Costa Rica to participate in an ecology study.
She married her high school sweetheart Christopher Tackett in 2008 and for the past three years they have made their home in Blythewood. Kendra was a wonderful wife to her beloved husband.
In addition to Chris, she treasured her family, home and family pets; Betty and Diesel both Boston Terriers, and Xenia her rescued German Shepard.
Her interests include painting, photography, fishing, baking, and kayaking. She loved animals, going to the beach with Chris and her dogs, fishing, and time spent at Folly Beach and Pigeon Lake in Canada.
Fun loving, she possessed a bubbly and sometimes silly personality. Always kind hearted and helpful, she was caring beyond words. These are only some of her many qualities, but most of all she will be remembered for her beautiful and endearing smile.
In addition to her husband and parents she is also survived by sister Kara Osborn of Delaware, grandparents: Jim & Donna Osborn of Edison, John Hobson of Westerville, parents-in-law: Kevin & Donna Tackett of Delaware, Aunts, Uncles, and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother Dicie Hobson on August 4, 2013.
Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 1510 W. William St. at Valleyside Dr., Delaware, where services will be held 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday with Celebrant Don Lockwood officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Park in Lexington.
