Our precious mother, Marguerite Franklin, age 82, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at her residence in Marion, OH.
Marguerite was born in Marion, OH on June 7, 1931 to the late Columbus Knapp and Verna (Toombs) Evans.
Marguerite married Alvin Franklin in 1954 and he preceded her in death on May 17, 2008.
She was a member of Victory Center Church of God for over 50 years, where she always made Easter Eggs, enjoyed making crafts and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
Marguerite is survived by children Daniel (Sue) Franklin, Monna J. Boast, James Franklin, Alvin G. Franklin, Yvonne (Ted) Thomas, Brenda (Arnold) Biggs, Patricia Meade, Anthony (Lisa) Franklin, Stephanie (Ray) Stith, 26 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Marguerite is preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors from 5 until 8PM. A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Victory Center Church of God, 1190 E. Fairground St., Marion, OH at 10:30 AM with Rev. Donald Howell officiating. Burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery.
