William C. “Bill” McJunkin Jr., age 83, of Marion passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at 8:00 a.m. in his residence.
He was born on September 19, 1930 in Marion, Ohio to William C. and Essie Mae (Hart) McJunkin.
On October 2, 1954, Bill married the former Maxine H. Hawk and she preceded him in death on November 6, 2006 in Marion.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of VFW. Bill retired in 1983 after 34 years as a system analyst for GTE.
The lifelong Marion resident is survived by a son; Michael J. (Diane) McJunkin of Hebron, In., a daughter; Debbie K. (Keith) Speakman of Springfield, Oh., 5 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Saturday, November 2, 2013, from 2-5 p.m. A private family service and burial will take place at a later date.
