Carrie A. Reeve, age 27, of Columbus and formerly of Mount Gilead, passed away Wednesday morning, November 13, 2013, following injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
On May 9, 1986, Carrie was born in Marion, the daughter of Scott S. and Penny M. (Eckstein) Reeve. She graduated from Mount Gilead High School in the Class of 2004 and was currently attending classes at Columbus State for dental hygiene.
Growing up, Carrie attended the First Presbyterian Church in Mount Gilead. More recently, she was attending Lifepoint church in Lewis Center with many of her friends.
For the past two years, she worked as a dental assistant at Walnut Creek Dental in Columbus.
Carrie enjoyed hanging out, socializing, and more than anything, shopping with her friends. She loved to be outdoors, often going to Highbanks Metro Park in Lewis Center and Old Mans Cave in Hocking Hills State Park. She ran many 5Ks and had a special place in her heart fundraising for causes important to her. She was always cheerful and full of energy, having a beautiful smile on her face.
Carrie will be dearly missed by her parents, Scott and Penny Reeve of Mount Gilead; her brother, Sam (Courtney Fuller) Reeve of San Diego, California; paternal grandmother, Donna Reeve of Mount Gilead; maternal grandmother, Betty Eckstein of Galion; her boyfriend, Dan Allison of Columbus; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her special little dog, Fendi.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Enos Reeve; and her maternal grandfather, Ross Eckstein.
A gathering to celebrate Carrie’s life will be held from 4 – 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at the Rude Dog Bar and Grill, 8711 Sancus Blvd., Columbus, OH 43240 (Polaris). A memorial service honoring Carrie’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at the First Presbyterian Church, 55 N. Cherry St., Mount Gilead, OH 43338 with Rev. Dr. Thomas J. Mori officiating.
