Charles (Chuck) Orewiler, 50, of Waldo

Charles (Chuck) OrewilerCharles (Chuck) Orewiler, age 50, of Waldo, passed away on November 21, 2013 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Marion County.

Chuck was born July 9, 1963 in Bucyrus, Ohio to Peggy Ann Simmons (Ben) and James E. Orewiler (PattI) who survive.

Chuck attended Ridgedale High School and graduated in 1981. After graduation, he attended Ohio State University.

Chuck earned the Journeyman card through Whirlpool Corporation and worked there for 23 years. He then continued his career at Cardington Yutaka Technologies.

On July 7, 1990 he married Amy M. (Tobin) and moved to the Waldo area 13 years ago.

To say that Chuck was an avid Buckeye fan would be an understatement. Chuck would be seen not only sporting the scarlet and grey attire, but the neighborhood could hear him blaring his favorite Buckeye CD every week during football season.

Although Chuck was a fan of all River Valley sports, his true excitement came from watching his boys’ involvement and success as River Valley golfers.

Chuck befriended everyone, and knew no stranger. His warmth and knowledge made him sought out by all for advice as well as for hands on ability to fix anything and everything. He made his days last so much longer than most as he worked hard and made time for all who needed him. His family was his joy, as no conversation happened without mention of them. He loved life, his home, and his family.

In addition to his parents, Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Amy M. (Tobin), his sons Alec and Caden, both at home, his brother Craig Orewiler (Laura) of Bucyrus, sister Susan (Simmons) Thrush (Chad) of Kenton, extended family includes brothers Todd,Troy and John Ernsberger, grandparents Maxine Garvin and Julia Ann Collyer, nieces Kristen, Shaina, Aubrey and nephew Kyle, along with several Aunts, Uncle, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by grandparents Paul Garvin, Franice Orewiler, Charles Chanault Collyer, Bernard and Bettie Simmons.

Friends will be received Monday, November 25, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Family Life Church, 2209 Marion-Waldo Road (423 South) with a Memorial Service to follow at 6:00 p.m.
