Darrell V. Johnson, age 59, passed peacefully at his home in Marion, Ohio on Friday, November 15, 2013.
He was born July 13, 1954 in Portsmouth, Ohio to Hobart and Elsie Johnson. He was preceded in death by his father. His mother is now Elsie Tuttle of Marion,Ohio.
He is also survived by one daughter; Adrienne Johnson of Athens, Oh., three sisters; Barbara Johnson, Kathy Johnson, & Linda Johnson all of Marion, Oh., two brothers; Steve (Rhonda) Johnson of Mt. Victory, Oh., and Wayne (Michele) Tuttle of Marion, Oh., five nephews, five nieces, seven great nephews, eight great nieces, four great great nephews, and one great great niece.
Darrell lived and worked in Upper Sandusky, Ohio for many years. He worked at AO Smith until the company closed.
He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and supported them always. Darrell loved to cook on the grill and hosted many events over the years at Ellis Lake. He was always the life of any party and will be missed by all.
Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Thursday, November 21, 2013, from 9-10 a.m. Rev. Melvin Bowling will conduct the funeral service on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home with burial to follow in the Grand Prairie Cemetery.
