Donald Gene Miller, 76, of Green Camp

Donald Gene Miller, age 76, of Green Camp, Ohio died Friday, November 8, 2013, at his home.

He was born on January 12, 1937 in Apache, Ok. to the late Ernest E. and Ova D. (Johnson) Miller.

Don was a veteran of the U.S.Army and member of the American Legion Post 0710 in Marengo, Oh. He was a retired drywall finisher and known as one of the best in his industry.

An avid hunter, Don always had hunting dogs and was a lifetime member of the National Cur & Feist Breeders Association. He and his dogs won many awards. Don enjoyed spending time outdoors and watching sports, especially basketball and baseball in which he excelled in both as a youth. He loved to make people laugh with his jokes and stories. He was always ready to brag about his sons & grandchildren of whom he was very proud.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers; Ernest Miller and Gwen Miller and a sister; Opal Samples. Don is survived by 2 sons; Craig (Lori) Miller of Marion, Oh. & Scott (Melissa) Miller of Delaware, Oh., a grandson; Garrett Miller, and 3 granddaughters; Audrey Miller, Devan Miller, & Logan Derry.

The family will be receiving friends and celebrating Don’s life at the Waldo Sportsman Club, 1520 Bethlehem Rd. West, Prospect, Oh. on Saturday, November 23, 2013, from 1-4 p.m. Military rites will be performed by the Marion County Veterans Council at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Don’s name may be made to the Apache High School Basketball Seat Program, P.O.Box 354, Apache, Ok. 73006
