Jarold F. “Jerry” Rice age 83 of Marion, Ohio passed away Sunday, November 24, 2013 at his residence.
He was born October 20, 1930 in Marion, Ohio, to the late Nathan R. and Blanche V. (Andrews) Rice.
On August 9, 1951 he married Mary Evelyn (Jolley), she preceded him in death on November 23, 2011.
Jerry was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Marion and retired from Sycon after many years as a welder/machinist.
He survived by his children, Gary L. Rice of Marion, Oh., Sharon S. Ardnt of Fostoria, Oh., Larry A. Rice of Marion, Oh., Fairy J. (Jack) White of Marion, Oh., Terri M. (Karl) Tolley of Marion, Oh., 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, 4 brothers, Herbert, Harvey, Richard “Dick”, Robert “Bob”, 2 sisters, Thelma Potter and Opal Schneider.
Visitation for Jerry will be Tuesday, November 26, 2013 from 5 – 7 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, November 27, 2013 @ 10 AM at Grace Baptist Church, 1560 Marion Marysville Rd. with Pastor Bill Middleton officiating. Burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery.
