Linda K. (Halbert) Anderson, 68, of Marion

Linda K. (Halbert) Anderson age 68 of Marion, Ohio, passed away on Thursday November 14, 2013 at Riverside Methodist Hospital.

The first of four children, Linda was born in 1944 in Marion, Ohio to Kenneth Halbert and Marguerite (Jack) Moon.

She is survived by her mother Marguerite, and three daughters; Nannette (Danny) Murphy, Amy Mehaffey (Dave Etzel), and Chelsea Pine; five grandchildren; Lacey, Joseph and Amanda Murphy, Alex Williamson, and Jack Riley Pine; and two great-grandchildren, Andrew and Charlee Rose Murphy. Linda is also survived by her siblings; Sue (Larry) Imbody of Lakeland, Fla., Kenneth (Kathi) Halbert of Poland, Ohio, and Heidi (Gary) Carr of Prospect, Ohio.

After 15 years of employment at Whirlpool she retired in 1995.

Linda took pride in many of her jobs throughout life, but mostly being a mother and grandmother. Being known as the life of the party, she left a lasting impression on everyone who met her. Always ready with a piece of advice or a joke to lighten the mood, she knew how to make you feel that things were going to be OK. Going without was a small price for her to pay to ensure her loved ones were taken care of. She would make each of us feel special by whispering, ” You are my favorite.” Her legacy lives on in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whom she cherished.

Preceded in death are her husband, Charlie Anderson, step-father, ” Pop ” Jack Moon, and father, Kenneth Halbert.

Friends may call at Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Thursday November 21 from 4 to 7 P.M. with a Memorial Service starting at 7:00 P.M. Burial will be at a later date in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Officiating the service will be Pastor Keith Irey.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
