Marianne Postell age 61 of Morehead City, North Carolina, passed away Thursday November 14, 2013 at her residence.
She was born April 20, 1952 in Marion, Ohio to the late James C. and Peggy A. (Gorrell) Postell.
Marianne served her country in the United States Air Force for over 20 years. She retired as a Technical Sergeant. After retirement she worked for Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point as a Testing Manager at Fleet Readiness Center East.
Marianne also was a life time member of the V.F.W. and the D.A.V. She loved to cook and golf.
She leaves behind her companion, Carla Swanson of Morehead City, N.C., three sisters; Debbie (Jerry) Edwards of Ohio, Vickie Leal of Clyde, Ohio, Genny (Gary) Cochran of Bellevue, Ohio, two brothers; James C. Postell of Attica, Ohio, Rick (Pam) Postell of Olympia, Wa., numerous nieces and nephews, and her pets, Finnigan and Ellie Mae.
Besides her parents, Marianne was preceded in death by a sister, Cathy Forney.
Funeral Services will be on Tuesday November 19, 2013 at 12:00 noon at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home in Marion, Ohio. Officiating the service will be Pastor Michael Padula. Burial will follow in the Chapel Heights Cemetery with Military Rites by the Marion County United Veterans Council. Friends may call at the funeral home two hours prior to the service on Tuesday from 10 to 12 noon.
