Murray W. Hubley, 91, formerly of Marion

Murray W. HubleyMurray W. Hubley age 91 of Waterville, Ohio, passed away Monday November 25, 2013 at Hospice of North West Ohio in Perrysburg, Ohio.

He was born November 5, 1922 in Huntington, Ind., to the late Harry and Muriel Hubley.

On December 12, 1974 in Marion, Ohio, he married Betty Lou Kegley and she preceded him in death on February 13, 1989.

Murray was retired as a Railroad Engineer after 49 years with the Erie Lackawana and Conrail Railroad.

Murray had a Masters Degree from Purdue University and in 1941 he achieved the status of All American Diver at Purdue.

He also was a W.W.II Veteran and was a Captain in the Army Air Force. He flew a P51 in the South Pacific.

Murray leaves behind five daughters and two sons; Donna Powers of Marion, Ohio, Kathy (Keith) Haas of Marion, Ohio, Mary Beth (Brian) Melvin of Marion, Ohio, Jodi Kaye (Howard) Chancey of Perrysburg, Ohio, Jessica Muriel Hubley (Fiance Justin Happney) of Waterville, Ohio, Jeremy (Leah) Hubley of Waterville, Ohio, and Jason Murray Hubley of Cardington, Ohio. Also, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren survive.

Funeral Services will be Friday November 29, 2013 at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home in Marion, Ohio at 12:00 Noon. Officiating the service will be Pastor Marcellus de Oliveira. Burial will follow in the Marion Cemetery with Military Rites by the Marion County United Veterans Council. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday two hours prior to the service from 10 to 12 Noon.
