William H. Farley Jr., age 78, of Marion passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2013, at 6:40 p.m. in the Grant Medical Center, Columbus.
He was born in Crum, West Virginia on August 9, 1935 to William H. and Clista (Spaulding) Farley Sr. His father preceded him in death and his mother, age 97, survives in Crum, W.Va.
William married the former Patricia Mae Crump in Marion, Ohio on October 14, 1961 and she preceded him in death on June 2, 2012 in Columbus, Oh.
He served his country in the United States Marine Corp., was a member of the United Rubber Worker’s Union, and a member of the Lincoln Avenue Church of Christ in Bucyrus, Ohio. William worked for the B.F.Goodrich Co. for over 20 years before his retirement.
Surviving along with his mother are 2 sons; Kyle (Christine) Farley & Scott (Linnea) Farley both of Marion, Oh., a daughter; Kelli (Scott) Graybill of Morral, Oh., 5 brothers; Everett (Angela) Farley of Ca., Albert (Nancy) Farley of Salem, W.Va., Robert (Sheila) Farley of Summersville, W.Va., James (Linda) Farley of Louisa, Ky., & Steve (Elaine) Farley of Montgomery, W.Va., 3 sisters; Nila June (Eugene) Williamson of Huntington, W.Va., Letitia (Robert) Hovanec of Crum, W.Va., & Debra (Bobby) Daniels of Crum, W. Va., 4 grandchildren; Ross, Caitlin, Alexandria, & Hannah, and 3 great grandchildren; Carter, Michael, & Charlee Beth.
William was preceded in death by his father, a son; William Shawn Farley, and 2 brothers; Franklin & Lowell Farley.
Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Monday, November 25, 2013, from 4-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the Richland Road Church of Christ on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. with burial to follow in the Grand Prairie Cemetery. Military rites will be provided by the Marion County Veterans Council.
