Bertha C. (Moloney) Harty age 86, a Marion, Ohio Native, passed away Friday morning, December 13,2013 at ManorCare in Westerville, Ohio.
She was a homemaker and mother all her life. She had Alzheimer’s for a number of years.
Bert was born in Marion on July 18, 1927 to Leo F. Moloney and Bertha (Mulvey) Moloney.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 65 years, James M. Harty Jr. who now resides at the Inn at Olentangy Trail in Delaware, Ohio. They were married in Marion on January 15, 1949.
Other survivors include three sons David (Christy) Harty; Donald (Melissa) Harty; Kevin (Susan) Harty, two daughters Maureen (Peter Faletti) Harty; Linda (Thomas) Photos. She was preceded in death by all of her seven brothers and sisters: Bryan, Mary, Francis, Charles, James, Theresa and Maurice.
Her love of the church included her involvement in the choir and Funeral Choir, the alter society, St. Vincent de Paul Society, and many other volunteer projects at her church.
Family will receive friends on Monday, December 16, 2013 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors with parish prayers beginning at 4:00 P.M.. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 17, 2013 with Father Thomas Buffer presiding. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
