Billie Joyce Starner age 62 of Marion, Ohio, passed away Saturday November 30, 2013 at her residence.
She was born February 28, 1951 in Marion, Ohio to William and Alice (Creviston) Megginess. Her father preceded her in death and her mother survives in Marion, Ohio.
On August 29, 1997 in Marion, Ohio she married Fred D. Starner and he survives.
Billie was a member of the Prospect Street United Methodist Church and a member of the Hilda Wiesse Circle. She had a green thumb for all the plants she loved to grow and she was quite fond of her bird, Mr. Tweet. Whenever Billie was down or having a bad day, her greatest joy of getting back up were her grandchildren and all of her many nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and her mother, Billie leaves behind two step-children; Sean (Nikki) Starner, Angela (Aaron) Sample, four grandchildren; Bryce and Whitney Starner, and Bennett and Everett Sample. Also surviving are four sisters and two brothers; Terry Robbins, Sheila (John) Kleinzman, Dolly (Jim) Russell, Candy (Neil) Martin, William “Mac” (Kathy) Megginess, and Mark (Beth) Megginess, brother-in-law Mike Starner and mother-in-law Thelma Starner.
There will be a Celebration of Billie’s life on Wednesday December 4, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. at the Prospect Street United Methodist Church. Officiating the service will be Pastor Nancy Goulet. Burial will take place at a later date. Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Tuesday December 3, 2013 from 4 to 8 P.M.
