Dorothy Mae Fritz, age 84, of Marion passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2013, at 3:22 p.m. in the Heartland of Marion.
She was born on November 25, 1929 in Marion, Ohio to the late Clyde V. and Effie (Stevens) Davis.
Dorothy married Kenneth P. Fritz in Nevada, Ohio on April 23, 1952 and he preceded her in death on August 7, 2004 in Marion, Ohio.
She had been employed in the custodial dept. of the Shelby School System for 13 years before her retirement. Dorothy has been a Marion resident for the past 15 years and prior to that had lived in Las Vegas, Nv. and Shelby, Oh.
Surviving are a son; Harold Van (Susan) Fritz of Shelby, Oh., a daughter; Dottie (Mike) Parker of Marion, Oh., a brother; Clyde (“Wink”) Davis of Bucyrus, Oh., a sister; Marie Gillette of Marion, Oh., 5 grandchildren; Steve, Kenny, Eric, Harry, & Dallas, and 8 great grandchildren; Alivia, Kennedy, Maxtyn, Eli, Kipton, Kellar, Alania, & Isaiah.
Dorothy was preceded in death by a brother; Robert E. Davis.
Pastor Dwight Hord will conduct a graveside service in Chapel Heights Memory Gardens on Friday, December 6, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. No Calling Hours will be observed.
