Evelyn Eileen Bishop Curtis-Lichty, age 94, of Marion, died Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at Marion General Hospital.
Evelyn, a lifelong resident of Marion, was born on October 24, 1919 to the late Lawrence Jackson and Ruth Carolyn (Berry) Bishop.
She was a 1937 graduate of Marion Harding High School.
Evelyn married Cloyd R. Lichty who preceded her in death in January of 1961.
Evelyn retired from Tecumseh Products with over 30 years of service and was a lifelong member of St. Mary Church. Her family was especially important to her; she was an avid cheerleader for her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Evelyn will be missed by her children, Charles Lance (Patricia) Curtis, of Waldo and Cathy Curtis-McKim of Long Beach, CA; grandchildren, Kimberleigh Lynn Curtis-French, Lance Dean (Tammy) Curtis, Lisa E. McKim, Leigh Ann (Brian) Stearns, Theresa (Jack) Keefe, Terrill Miller, Tim (Jennifer) Miller, T. Annamarie (Jim) Deprey, and Ted (Jennifer) Miller; great-grandchildren, Brook (Bryan) Hoie, Nicholas Curtis, Aaron (Kelly) Curtis, Amy Curtis Young, Wesley (Shannon) Curtis, Vincent Curtis, Renee Keefe, Patrick Keefe, Kallie Miller, Trevor Miller, Evon, Nathon, and Lydia Deprey and Carson and Cooper Miller; great-great grandchildren, Ryleigh Hoie, Kameron, Zackary, Cole and Kellen Young and Heidi Evelyn Curtis, due in January; brother, Jack (Virginia) Bishop of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Margaret Broadsword Darnell; husbands, Cloyd R. Lichty and Charles Francis “Bob” Curtis; and son-in-law David R. McKim.
Friends may call from 4 until 6PM on Monday, December 30, 2013 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10AM on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Thomas Buffer presiding. Burial will follow in The Marion Cemetery.
