Stanley E. Sparks Sr. age 75 of Marion, Ohio passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013 at Heartland of Marion.
He was born June 1, 1938 in Gallia County, Ohio to the late Sherman and Emma (Woods) Sparks.
On September 7, 1957 he married Barbara E. (Yates) Sparks, she preceded him in death on January 31, 2013.
Stanley was a member of Victory Center Church of God and was formerly employed at M.P.S. and Fairfield Engineering.
He is survived by his four children, Stanley E. (Vickie) Sparks Jr. of Marion, Oh., Katie (Terry) Gifford of Marion, Oh., Ryan K. (Sophia) Sparks of Cincinnati, Oh., Randy L. (Abby) Sparks Indian Lake, Oh., seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one brother, Herman Sparks of Gallipolis, Oh., one sister, Shirlene (Gerald) Ingles of Elkhart, In., and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Oakley Sparks and two sisters, Betty Delaney and Mary Delaney.
Visitation for Stanley will be Monday, December 23, 2013 from 5 – 8 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 24, 2013 @ 1:30 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Pastor Don Howell officiating. Burial will follow at Caledonia Cemetery.
