Edward “Tony” R. Snyder, age 78, of Marion, died Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at his home.
Tony was born on August 2, 1935, in Marion, OH to the late Edward Franklin and Mary Louise (Truitt) Snyder.
Edward worked as a bartender for over 35 years at the Eagles, was a member of the Moose, and American Legion Post 162.
Tony is survived by children, Paul (Heather Gibson) Spillman, Randy (Kim Sharp) Simpkins, and Melody (Tom Kincaid) Hrbac, all of Marion; brother, Gary Snyder; nephews, Les, John, Kenny, Larry, Chad, Ernie; nieces, Melody and Jane; and several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; mother of the children, Marilyn Huggins-Waugh, best friend Earl (Linda) Hornbeck, and longtime companion Patricia Tramontana.
He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 26, 2014 from 2 until 5PM at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors. Services will be held 10:30AM Monday, January 27, 2014 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors with Pastor Larry Dall officiating. Burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery.
