J William “Bill” Wolfinger, age 85, of Marion went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at Presidential Center of Marion.
Bill was born on August 9, 1928 in Marion County to the late Zell D. and Alfreda (Zieg) Wolfinger.
On September 25, 1954, Bill married Betty L. Moore who preceded him in death on September 10, 2013.
Bill retired from the finance department of the Marion Power Shovel and was a former member of The Moose and The Eagles. Bill graduated from Business School where he was a member of The Phi Theta Pi Fraternity.
Bill is survived by children, Jay William (Joni) Wolfinger, Kevin Lee Wolfinger, and Paula Jean (Frank) Ferrin all of Marion; grandchildren, Trista (Matt) Crock and Tyler Ferrin; and several nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by sister, Gloria Ann Smith.
Visitation will be held at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors from 2 to 5PM on Sunday, January 5, 2014. A funeral will be celebrated at The Peace Community Church, 4061 State Route 98, Marion, OH with Pastor Joel Fetter officiating on Monday, January 6, 2014 at 10AM. Burial will follow in Marion Cemetery.
