Jane Zent age 102 of Marion, Ohio, passed away on Friday January 24, 2014 at Presidential Center Genesis Health Care.
She was born November 25, 1911 in LaGro, Ind. to the late Merton and Sara (Renner) McNown.
On February 1, 1941 in Roanoke, Ind. she married Howard G. Zent and he preceded her in death on April 7, 1979.
Jane was a retired School Teacher for thirty-eight years. She spent eighteen years teaching in Indiana and twenty years in Ohio. She retired from the Marion City School System.
Jane was very active and involved in many things. She was an auxilliary volunteer with Smith Clinic, was a Kings Daughters Club member, member of First Presbyterian Church, she loved to crochet, playing the piano, doing crossword puzzles, she loved to cook, and plant flowers, and she really loved to travel. But most of all, she really loved her family and passed on her many skills to them.
Jane is survived by a daughter, Nancy Waters of Marion, Ohio, and three granddaughters and two great-granddaughters; Heather, Heidi, and Hope Waters, and Courtney Noelle Skillman, and Sarah Laurette Waters. Besides her parents and her husband, Jane was preceded in death by three brothers; Edwin, Heaston, and William McNown. A very close family friend, Josh Lust also survives her.

Funeral Services will be on Friday January 31, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Chaplain Pamela Lamb-Hart. A Graveside Service with burial will take place at a later date in Glenwood Cemetery in Roanoke Ind. Friends may call at the funeral home on friday two hours prior to the service from 1 to 3 P.M.
