Michael L. Fleming, age 49, of Marion ended his courageous battle with multiple sclerosis on Saturday, January 4, 2014, at 11:00 p.m. in his home.
He was born on January 14, 1964 in Marion, Ohio to Don E. and Reda (Risner) Fleming. His parents survive in Marion.
Mike graduated from Marion Harding High School in 1982.
Throughout his battles with his illness, he maintained an upbeat attitude, a strong spirit, and always had a smile and a laugh for everyone. Mike enjoyed nascar racing, fishing & hunting with his brothers, and had a very special bond with his family.
Surviving along with his parents are his brothers; Dan Fleming & Eric (Teresa) Fleming both of Marion, a grandmother; Reba Risner of Walbridge, Oh., 3 nieces; Kacey, Tori, & Lacey, and a nephew; Nate.
Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Thursday, January 9, 2014, from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. Officiating will be his close friends; Bob Cummings & Mike Marshall. The burial will follow in the Marion Cemetery, however the family has stated, that because of the weather, it is not necessary that you attend the burial.
