Robert Anton Spaeth age 87 of Marion passed away Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Marion Manor.
Born in Bucyrus, Ohio February 18, 1926 to the late Anton and Helen (Kramer) Spaeth.
Robert was a WWII Army Veteran. He retired from Columbia Gas as a supervisor. Bob was a member of St Mary Church, American Legion, VFW, and The Knights of Columbus Council 671.
On July 26, 1952 Bob married Mary Jean (Dutt) Spaeth she passed away March 27, 2013.
Bob is survived by one son Rick A. Spaeth of Marion, one daughter Susan (Jeff) Johnston of Marion, one son in law , Robert Bob McFarland of Marion, six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Wife Mary Jean, one daughter Sally McFarland, and one sister Rosemary Sherbundy.
Family will receive friends from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. Thursday, January 23, 2014 at St Mary Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, January 23, 2014 at St Mary Church with Father Thomas Buffer Presiding. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
