Robie D. Ratliff age 60 of Marion, Ohio, passed away on Friday January 24, 2014 at the Marion General Hospital.
He was born March 7, 1953 in Lackey, Ky., to Elder Hampton Hardwick and Iva Lena (Hall) Ratliff. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives and lives in Marion, Ohio.
Robie was a big sports fan, especially baseball, basketball, and football. He followed the O.S.U. Buckeyes and the Kentucky Wildcats. He also was a fan of the Cincinnati Reds and the Cleveland Browns.
Robie leaves behind two daughters; Debbie (Jim) Neff of St. Clair, Michigan and Tonya (Terry) Holloway of Marion, Ohio, and six grandchildren survive. He is also survived by three sisters and four brothers; Sue Tomecko of Galion, Ohio, Bonnie (Leon) Middleton of South Shore, Ky., Georgia Bradley of Marion, Ohio, Randall (Margaret) Ratliff of Marion, Ohio, Bill (Debbie) Ratliff of Willard, Ohio, Ricky (Shannon) Ratliff of Marion, Ohio, and Jimmy Ratliff of Marion, Ohio, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his father, Robie was preceded in death by a niece, Stephanie Little, and three nephews; Chad Taylor, Michael Bradley, and Roger Ratliff.
Funeral Services will be on Wednseday January 29, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Family of Love Old Regular Baptist Church in Wyandot, Ohio. Officiating the service will be Elder Delmas Hall. Burial will follow in the Grand Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Monday January 27, 2014 from 4 P.M. until the time of the service on Wednesday at 11 A.M.
