William “Bill” Jacob Felker, 53, of 805 Hoch Road, Marion Ohio passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday morning January 26, 2014.
Bill was united in marriage with Bonnie Perrego Felker on April 1, 1994. Together with their children, Jacob and Paige, they owned and operated the Hickory Grove Lake Campground in Marion Ohio.
Bill was a 1979 graduate of Tunkhannock High School, Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served on the USS Moosebrugger.
Bill was well known within the community and was involved in his children’s activities. Bill loved the outdoors and enjoyed time with his family, friends, and campers. He and his special hunting partner Bob Rau spent many happy hours together.
Bill and Bonnie purchased Hickory Grove Lake Campground in Marion Ohio in August 2010.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather Harold Ray, paternal grandparents William and Marion Benscoter, Father-in-law Albert Emerson Perrego and brother-in-law William D Ball.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie, of Marion Ohio, son Jacob Felker stationed with the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell Kentucky, daughter Paige Felker at home, parents Jacob “Skip” Felker and Margaret Felker of Tunkhannock Pennsylvania, mother-in-law Karen Perrego of Clearwater Florida, siblings Cindy Ball of Tunkhannock Pennsylvania, Michaelle (Jeff) Cox of Tunkhannock Pennsylvania, Bob (Kathi) Felker of Scott Township Pennsylvania, Brenda (Chris) Mills of Tunkhannock Pennsylvania, sister in law Barbie (Chuck) Crane of Dallas Pennsylvania, and brother in law Alan Perrego of California. Bill had numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Bill is also survived by lifelong friend Bob Rau and wife Marcy of Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania and his first wife and friend Kim Felker of Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania.
His family has also made many special friends since moving to Marion and purchasing the campground.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bill’s honor to the Wounded Warrior Project.
