Angela Marie Copus, age 41, of Marion, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, February 6, 2014.
Angela was born in Greenville, Ohio on August 25, 1972, the daughter of Rev. George R. and Lucille M. (Sappington) Copus. She attended Whitmer High School and graduated in the class of 1992.
Angela had worked for a couple of years as a nurse’s assistant in Findlay and most recently she was working at Primrose in the Dietary Department. She loved her job and enjoyed the residents that she served.
Angela lived out her faith daily and was completely devoted to her church family. Angela greeted everyone at church and would light up those around her with her smile and warm everyone with a loving hug. She had a passion for music and participated in the choir and also was in the hand bell choir. She was a member of the Hilda Weiss Circle, helped with the Children’s Church and also enjoyed being a Liturgist. This year, she joined the live Nativity Scene at the fairgrounds where she was dressed as an angel. In her early years, Angela loved attending the summer church camps.
Angela was an avid Ohio State University sports fan and loved watching and attending the football games with her dad. Angela truly loved people, from the young to the old. She had an enormously generous heart and spirit. She will be dearly missed by so many.
She is survived by her beloved parents Rev. George R. and Lucille M. (Sappington) Copus; her loving brother James (Amy) Copus; niece of: Clyde Sappington, Rachel Trihaft and Ray Copus; cousins: Gwyn (Steve) McKinniss, their children: Ben and Tom McKinniss; Susan (Doug) Wenig, their children: Sara (Chad) Grote and Kevin Wenig; David (Kim) Trihaft, their children William, Andrew and Bethany Trihaft; Laura Sue Copus and Matthew Copus: his daughter Ruby Ann; also numerous relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 10, 2014 at the Prospect Street United Methodist Church, 185 Prospect St. from 5PM to 8PM; Funeral services will be held Tuesday at the church at 10:30AM with Pastor Nancy Goulet officiating, burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
