Jaclee Forster (nee Sutton), 82 died peacefully February 12, 2014 in Marion, Ohio. Jaclee was born August 3, 1931 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to her parents Alton “Al” Sutton and Viola “Vi” (nee Howard) Sutton.
Her parents moved to Rochell, Illinois where Jaclee was raised and graduated from Rochell High School. After attending a nurse’s training program in Chicago at Rush-St. Luke’s in Chicago, a requirement to be a flight attendant, Jaclee met and married Lawrence “Bud” Forster, her husband of 56 years.
A natural beauty through out her life, Jaclee was a “Little Miss Rochell” at 3 years old and ” Miss Rochell ” at age 16, and was even a finalist in the competition which discovered Shirley Temple.
Jaclee and Bud raised their four children in Rochell, IL., Marion, OH., and Illiopolis, IL, where Jaclee was PTA President, a girl scout leader, volunteer EMT and worked on committees to buy a town ambulance and bring community college classes to town. Jaclee enjoyed making beautiful needlepoint and cross-stich pieces, avid reader and taught her daughters to sew in 4-H.
Jaclee is survived by her 4 children, Bill (Mage) Forster of Marion, OH., Mary (Bob) Schoenthaler of Hinsdale IL., Connie Long of Chaska, MN., Joe Forster of Marion, OH., 5 grandchildren, Robert Forster, Anna Forster-Smith, Rob Schoenthaler, Madeleine Schoenthaler, Melissa Long, 2 great grandchildren, Blake Smith and Sydney Smith, 2 brothers, Charles “Bud” (Carole) Sutton of Chana, IL., Tom (Mary) Sutton of Illiopolis, IL., and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Boyd-Born Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for the family, burial will take place in Illinois at a later date.
