James Lee Luedtke age 62 of Marion, Ohio passed away Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Marion General Hospital.
He was born November 15, 1951 to Joyce Adene (Luedtke) Tharp, he was raised by Roy and Joyce Tharp, they both preceded him in death.
James was married to Patricia K. (Keller) Leudtke for 30 years, she preceded him in death on April 21, 1972.
Through friends – Terry and Sharon Crabtree, he met Sally A. (Burkpile), they married August 20, 2004 and she survives in Marion.
James attended New Covenant Fellowship Church, loved camping at Riverbend Campground, driving the snow plow and helped out anyone who asked for help. His was the best husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He loved all his family very much.
He is also survived by 2 daughters, Christine (J.R.) Buffington of Marion, Carrie (friend – William Smith) Luedtke of Marion, 4 step sons, Edward Hardie of Marion, Rick (Sherry) James of Marion, Dallas (Tracie) James of Marion, Dan (Pam) James of Marion, his faithful companion – Max his dog, 3 grandchildren, Dustin Williams, Cory Perryman, Elizabeth Luedtke, 9 step grandchildren, Tera, Aaron, Cody, Cory, Harley, Ethan, Michayla, Mariah, Sasha, 2 great grandchildren, 12 step great grandchildren and 2 on the way, his brother, Alvin Tharp of Marion, 1 niece and 2 nephews.
Visitation for James will be Sunday, February 23, 2014 from 2 – 5 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Monday, February 24, 2014 @ 10 AM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Jobe officiating. Burial will follow at Marion Cemetery.
