John M. Iverson age 81 of Marion, Ohio passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
He was born July 17, 1932 in Sturgeon Bay, Wi., to the late Lawrence and Charlotte (Kinch) Iverson.
On September 12, 1953 he married Mary Jane (Gray) Iverson, she preceded him in death on December 23, 2000.
John was a U.S. Army Veteran, he was employed 30 years at Fairfield Engineering as a Electrical Engineer, he retired in 1999.
He is survived by his children,Thomas John Iverson of Marion, Oh., Amy (Gary) Cooperider of Marion, Oh., Connie (Richard Jr.) Ruby of Sandusky, Oh., Penny Spears of Fremont, Oh., 9 grandchildren, Nicole Salmon, Richard Ruby III, Christopher (Katherine) Ruby, Ashley Ruby, Erik Cranmer, Philip Cranmer, John Spears, Andrea Cooperider, Chad Cooperider, 8 great grandchildren, brother, Lawrence (Sharon) Iverson of Sturgeon Bay, Wi., sister, Mary Bean of Carrollton, Tx.
John was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, brother, Cederic Iverson, and his sister, Patricia Baierl.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2014 @ 1PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Reed officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 4, 2014 from 11AM – 1PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home.
